Driving through Burns, Oregon
on our way to the coast and "Depoe Bay" for our reunion,
it was 104 degrees!
Finally, after a long drive and still HOT
we stopped in Bend, Oregon
for dinner at the Black Bear Diner
and sleep at the Red Lion Hotel.
the next day, still heading West
we drove through McKenzie Pass.
I was driving and it was a narrow, crazy road.
so narrow there were warning signs
and I couldn't take a picture while driving.
we arrived at the coast and 58 degree weather!
Perfect temps and blue sky!
the coastline is so beautiful!
We stopped for a yummy codfish lunch
at the Blue Whale Restaurant.
The clam chowder was the BEST.
Almost to Depoe Bay, Oregon.

After settling into the house we gathered on the beach,
visiting and playing in the water.
Will followed Lincoln everywhere
trying to do whatever he did.
the water was cold, the sun warm
and the weather perfect!

Today is the 4th of July
we drove onto a private peninsula
parked and sat on the side of the road
to watch the fireworks!
