August

August 2, Doug's 34th birthday.
We went with his family to a Japanese Steak House.

an onion ring volcano

It was fun to watch the chef's performance of cooking our food.

Birthday dessert!

Our neighbor, Larry Frazier, is helping Wes with installing the electricity,
power boxes and light fixtures.

Dad is painting the front of the shed "barn red".

All the lights work!

We bought an old window in California-
the shutters are from Hal and Marilyn's old house-
and a new door complete the "look".
(notice the old pump and stand - all antiques)

Our garden at sunset.

August 4th we were invited by Bob Butters in our ward
to go on a "side by side" adventure to the top of Mt. Logan.
There were about 12 of us.  We got to drive this green one!

An evening ride -
beautiful even with the smoke filled sky from all the wildfires.

Waiting for all to catch up before going to the top.

The next week we took this photo from Logan valley to see the tower
and where we had been.  The tower is on the tallest peak.
It was a great evening and fun to do things with new friends.
